Learn how to identify our official websites and avoid scams.

🛡️Your security matters to us.

We have become aware of fraudulent websites, social media accounts, advertisements and unauthorized sellers attempting to impersonate the Trace ‘n Chase brand by using similar names, logos, website designs or domain names. These are not affiliated with Trace ‘n Chase or with our parent company in Europe, and some attempt to collect payments or personal information under false pretenses.

This page explains how to confirm you are dealing with the real Trace ‘n Chase, and what to do if you encounter something suspicious.

Our Official Websites

There are exactly two official Trace ‘n Chase online stores. They are operated by two separate companies serving two separate markets.

United States, Canada & Mexico

tracenchase.us
Prices in USD. Operated by Trace and Chase New Jersey Inc. from our Totowa, New Jersey store. This is the site you are on now.

Europe & Rest of World

tracenchase.com
Prices in EUR. Operated by our parent company in Thessaloniki, Greece.

You may also see authentication.tracenchase.com, which is an official address where you can view the collectables certified by Trace ‘n Chase . Any other domain is not ours.

If you are shopping in the US, Canada or Mexico, tracenchase.us is the correct store for you. Any site that is not one of the addresses above is not operated by Trace and Chase New Jersey Inc., regardless of how closely it resembles our branding.

Our Official Communication Channels

Trace and Chase New Jersey Inc. contacts customers only from @tracenchase.us email addresses. Our live box breaks run on Whatnot only under the following channels: Trace ‘n Chase, RipHamiltonRips, RipHamiltonBreaks, RipHamiltonFlex, RipHamiltonHits and PackMan.

We will never:

  • Ask you to send payment outside our checkout to a personal account
  • Request payment by gift card, wire transfer, cryptocurrency or peer-to-peer payment apps
  • Ask you for your full card number, CVV or account password by email, direct message or phone
  • Pressure you to complete a payment within minutes

If a message claims to be from us and does any of the above, it is not from us. Contact us before acting on it.

How to Spot a Fake Trace ‘n Chase Site

Be cautious if you notice any of the following:

  • A domain name that resembles tracenchase.us or tracenchase.com but is not an exact match. Read the address bar character by character.
  • Prices far below market for sealed hobby product. Sealed boxes have a floor; sellers do not give them away.
  • Payment requested through unusual methods, or a checkout that redirects to an unrelated payment page.
  • Spelling errors, awkward grammar, or branding that is close but not quite right.
  • No physical address, no phone number, or a contact page with only a web form.
  • Prices shown in USD but a site that ships from or bills in a different country without explanation.
  • Social media ads pointing to a domain you do not recognize.
  • Requests for personal or financial information beyond what an order requires.

If something feels off, stop and verify before you pay.

Before You Complete a Purchase, Ask Yourself

  • Am I on tracenchase.us or tracenchase.com? Check the address bar, not the page design.
  • Is the padlock present, and does the certificate match the domain?
  • Am I being charged in USD on a US site, or has the currency changed unexpectedly?
  • Did I arrive here from an official Trace ‘n Chase channel, or from an ad or direct message?
  • Can I find a real address and a working phone number?

If you cannot answer all five with confidence, contact us first.

Report a Fake Site or Seller

If you find a website, advertisement, social account, email or seller impersonating Trace ‘n Chase, report it. Every report helps us protect collectors.

Email: [email protected]

To make your report actionable, please include as much of the following as you can:

  • The full URL, copied directly from the address bar. Not the ad, not a shortened link.
  • A screenshot with the address bar visible. A screenshot of the page alone is much harder to act on.
  • The date and time you saw it, and your time zone.
  • How you found it – search result, social media ad, email, direct message or marketplace listing.
  • What payment method was requested, and any account name, wallet address or bank details shown.
  • Any emails or messages you received, forwarded as attachments where possible so the original headers are preserved.

The more of this we have, the faster a host, registrar or platform will act.

If You Have Already Paid a Suspicious Site

Act in this order. The first step is time-sensitive.

  1. Contact your bank or card issuer now and ask to dispute the charge. Chargeback windows are limited and they start running from the transaction date. Do this before anything else.
  2. If you paid through PayPal or a marketplace, open a dispute inside that platform as well. It is a separate process from your card dispute.
  3. Change any password you reused on that site, and enable two-factor authentication on your email and payment accounts.
  4. Monitor your statements for the next several billing cycles for charges you do not recognize.
  5. File a report with the authorities. In the United States you can report to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov and to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov. New Jersey residents can also file with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs.
  6. Send us the details at [email protected] so we can pursue removal of the site and warn other collectors.

We cannot recover funds paid to a third party, and we are not able to guarantee any specific outcome from a report. What we can do is pursue takedowns and help you document the incident for your bank and for law enforcement.

What We Do About It

Trace ‘n Chase monitors for websites, social accounts and sellers that misuse our brand, and we work with our parent company, with hosting providers, domain registrars and platform trust teams to have them removed.

Takedowns take time, and operators frequently rebuild under new domains. The most reliable protection remains simple: buy from tracenchase.us, from tracenchase.com if you are outside North America, from our Totowa store, or from our official channels on Whatnot.

Thank you for helping us keep the collecting community safe.

Still Not Sure?

Call the store at (973) 200-0740 during business hours, or email [email protected].

If a site claims to be us and you want to check before you pay, ask us. We would much rather answer a question than help you file a dispute.
